The Old Tower is set in the
archaeological site of Castelluccio, which is located in a beautiful glimpse of south-eastern Sicily, between the towns of Noto and Palazzolo Acreide.
The site, discovered by the archaeologist Paolo Orsi and
dated between the 15th and the 19th century BC, has a great historical importance as evidence of Early Bronze Age in Sicily.
The area is
on a rocky outcrop where a fortified acropolis rises and a necropolis has been excavated in the steep walls of 'Signora' quarry.
The district of Castelluccio is
characterized by many beauties such as the archaeological site of Noto Antica, the beautiful Baroque town of Noto, the sea of Vendicari reserve, Modica, Ragusa, Siracusa, Taormina.
A few kilometers far away from The Old Tower is located
Testa dell'Acqua, a small tourist village provided with essential facilities.
